Our selection of Château Pape Clément : Used to be called “vignoble de la Mothe”, the château Pape Clement belonged, in the late thirteenth century, to Bernard de Goth, archbishop of Bordeaux. He was best known then under the name of Clement V, when it became pope. He gave his name to the property. The château Pape Clement remained the property of the Archdiocese of Bordeaux until the revolution. Then, several owners succeeded to the head of the château Pape Clement. (...)
