Joseph Drouhin:With its 90 appellations, Joseph Drouhin proposes a wide aromatic palette, which represents many soils of Burgundy wines. Nowadays, the 4th generation of Drouhin keeps going with the family tradition, started more than 130 years ago. With its choice of organic agriculture, the Maison Joseph Drouhin enrolls itself into an approach of vines, soil and environment respect. Mainly planted with the pinot noir and the chardonnay, the 2 nobles’ grapes of Burgundy, the 73 hectares of the Domaine include the famous “Clos des Mouches”, “Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche”, “Musigny”, “Clos de Vougeot” or the “Corton-Charlemagne”… Started in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin who chose Beaune to settle his house of wines, the family company would be continued by his son Maurice, who will acquire the famous “Clos des Mouches” and the “Clos de Vougeot”. In 1957, Robert Drouhin gave its actual surface to the Domaine, with acquisitions in Chablis, soil in which he had anticipated the potential. The wines of Domaine Joseph Drouhin express a freshness of fruits and greedy aromas for the youngest, when the old vintages acquired a lavish complexity.
